September 1, 2021JessI never write reviews. Literally never. However, after our experience last night, I am compelled to do so. I brought my very two enthusiastic and precocious daughters (ages 5.5... read more and 7) for their very first visit DC. I lived here for 6 years about 10 or so years ago and recalled that the first time I ever saw the monuments at night was pretty magical. Wanting to give my daughters that same perspective, I searched for a private night tour that wasn’t in a car but also wasn’t on foot (they’d be too tired that late past their normal bedtime) or a Segway (just not a great plan for a 5.5 and 7 year old), would keep them engaged, be age appropriate, and allow us to freedom to stay out longer or wrap up earlier based on how tired they were feeling. Not an easy thing to find. I found Nonpartisan Pedicab and filled out the form online. Within minutes (literally) Robert wrote me back. We ended up texting and I told him exactly what I was looking for. He said “I know just the right guide for you!” And immediately put me in touch with Barry. I even had to rebook the tour for another day last minute and both Robert and Barry were so cool and accommodating. From the minute we met up with Barry, he had my girls attention. He was engaging, hilarious, ridiculously smart and knowledgeable, accommodating, super kind and thoughtful (brought each of my kids a little gift! Seriously.) He took us to see the usual gamut of monuments but punctuated those with unique stories and obscure facts. He also took us to the off the beaten path monuments that even I had never heard of after living here for 6 years. Oh, and, he did all of that while PULLING A PEDICAB with the girls and me. He even made sure the girls were warm enough (he had a blanket and offered up his own jacket) and had water. AND he took all these candid photos of the girls and me all night long and offered to send me a link. How insanely thoughtful is that? We were with him from 730pm until about 1030pm and let me just say that not once did my kids say they were bored or tired, not once did they complain, and not once did they get grumpy. I’ve been on countless tours in countless citiessome have been just meh and some have been beyond incredibleso when I tell you that Barry was the BEST TOUR GUIDE I’ve had the privilege of meeting, you can be assured that I’ve got some pretty damn high tour guide standards. January 1, 1970Heather HI had decided last minute to try to get a pedicab tour of DC with my family (including our dog!). I woke up in the morning and called Nonpartisan Pedicab... read more since they had great reviews on the internet. Robert answered and helped walk me thru rates and options for the tours. We only had a short time frame for the tour and wanted to start within 2 hours. Robert jumped right on finding us a tour guide and called us back timely. He found us a guide and set up a place we would be able to park our car and meet our guide. Our guide Barry was right on time and super friendly. He was very knowledgeable and really set the tour up to please my 8 year old son. He offered to watch the dog while we toured the monuments and even took many pictures of our family for us. I cannot say enough good things about our experience and how amazing this company was! Exceeded our expectations, highly recommend! …

July 28, 2021Irenie19I was looking for a tour that would accommodate my 81 year old mother who had major heart surgery a year ago. We were passing through DC on our way... read more to a wedding in Virginia and I wanted to show my kids the sights. My mom did not want to go to DC whatsoever and even said she’s been there 5 times why are we going?! I promised to make it painless for her and Robert delivered!
I admit i contacted other companies but Robert was the most responsive. He was very personable even by email. I was reluctant to take a night tour but that’s what worked with our schedule. So glad we did it was gorgeous! Robert picked us up from The Hamilton restaurant. We got two pedicabs for the 5 of us and Barry was also friendly. They worked so hard and I did not realize how stinking hot it is in DC even with the sun setting. There is no way we could have managed walking around. Teenage kids a cranky grandma—was not happening. Robert was such a hit. I didn’t realize he spoke spanish or chinese btw!! When my mom couldn’t walk up the Lincoln memorial he sat with her and asked her questions about herself to keep her busy so the kids, my hubby and I could roam about freely. Priceless!! I really could go on and on. I also noticed that the people on the trolley tours looked at us and waved at us often like we were the attraction! lol The kids on the bus sometimes gave us the saddest looks as they whizzed past us and the sights like they wish they were us.
I mention my mom because we are home now and she said to me I had the best time in DC the tour she absolutely loved it and it was her favorite part of her trip. Like I said she did not want to go to D.C. having been there countless times before but she said this tour was the highlight of any of her times there! My kids too loved every minute. These guys are worth every penny. Tour with them picky senior and teenagers approved!!

Kevin and Bob were outstanding guides and excellent bikers! While those two had the work out of a lifetime, we sat two adults to each cab and a kid each. We were able to stop and taking pictures, go to the restroom, grab snacks, readjusted a crying child. This was so much better than trying to get all of us on a bus. We also were able to get so much closer with the cab than being in a vehicle or tour bus.
Price is pricey, yes, and it was worth it. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to hassle with the small stuff. Nonpartisan Pedicab took care of it and brought so much knowledge to the table! Loved this adventure!

I booked a tour of monuments at night for our first night there and this is by far my favorite memory of the trip.
