Tours to the Jefferson Memorial
One of the best ways to see the Jefferson Memorial is to visit it as part of a tour of the monuments. Nonpartisan Pedicab offers tours that take approximately 2-3 hours. Many guests say that this is the highlight of their trip to Washington DC.
Parking at the Jefferson Memorial
Unless you have handicapped stickers, you have to park at some distance. There are three parking lots next to the Potomac River — Parking Lots A, B, and C. Except during the Cherry Blossom Festival, it is easy to park there, although you still have to walk to the memorial.
On-street parking on the National Mall is no longer free of charge. Three hour parking is available at $2 per hour. Parking meters only accept credit cards.
